GT40 weights

Ha All,
I was fortunate to have the chance to have 3 GT40s in my driveway today.
Two fellow GT40 owners that I know came over to have there cars put on the scales that I borrowed for the weekend. I am posting the pictures of the 3 cars in my driveway and here are the results of the weigh in between the GTD, RCR, and the DRB. The GTD weighed in at 2643# the RCR weighed in at 2343# and the DRB weighed in at 2669# all 3 were very close at a 58% rear and 42% front ratio. thanks to Scott and Craig for bringing there cars over it was a blast hanging out on the driveway with them. Check out the pics.
Bob

Looks like fun time Bob..CScott did you get the shocks fitted to the RCR before leaving?..Looks like you have a little setting up to do too...although nothing too serious.
So you are just trolling a thread then...Snotty Scotty??

Fran,
Shocks not on yet, waiting on the brake caliper brackets......I sent you an email about it, they didnt come in the package. (any timeline on when they will ship?) I will wait until all the parts are in before I tear it apart again.

Bob, thanks for having us over! Beer is on me next time, Scott

(RCR had one full tank and a half on the other side, only running on one tank!)
DRB and RCR 331/302 aluminum headed with g50 trans, KVA 347/aluminum heada and UN1 trans I think....

Sorry Bob! Have KVA stuck in my head!! ;o) I did come across those doors while re-arranging the garage this afternoon, S

Thanks Fran! I opened one of them....guess my 50/50 luck wasn't doing so good! :O) The latches are pretty slick, S

Bob..thanks again for having me over for a few beers and weighing my car....At the time of weighing my DRB had a full tank of fuel on the left and about an 1/8 on the right...Treme dynamat deadening in the doors and fire wall..aluminum head 331/302 with A/C..and a G50 trans....oh and a full stereo w/powered sub... Although Scott's car was the lightest, you have to remember and add that 20lb block of ice that he claims to lay on his balls when driving to keep himself cool:thumbsup:

what a nice big driveway and garage...and then filled with such beautiful cars, must be dreaming ;-)
nice to see the weights also, how about chassis types...
The GTD has the stainles steel mono?
The RCR has the Alu mono?
The DRB has rectangular section mild steel tube?
The Tornado TS40 has also rectangular section mild steel tube?

@Bob, my mistake, I was thinking that "all" GTD came in mono stainless, but I guess those were the later series then or were they always made side by side.
what would be the weight difference between the mono stainless and the mild steel tube GTD in same spec.

Craig,
So nice of you to consider my balls and a block of ice!! ;o) (It was nice to meet you, and if we weighed the cars and drivers together I'm sure they would be a little closer!) Your car is finished very well, kudos to you.

The RCR is a/an aluminum mono with the 6pt cage/rollbar installed. Car has a/c, but only half of a drivers seat as I am still working on it!
