Gulf 1076 Blue ID nose marker light

Just noticed this in a few pictures today. Never heard it discussed.
any idea what it was from? Presume it also matches the blue on the market light on the rear clip?

thanks David. I know what they were for, to help the pit crew identify the cars at night. I have one of the B52 bomber ld lights for the rear (not sure i will use it, but it was something that i grabbed at the time)
Curious what the source for the front ones is.

From here
kind of looks like a Lucas light that has been painted.

Certainly looks like a Lucas item. Maybe an L594, which came with clear, amber and red lenses. I know many years ago some trucks and vehicles towing trailers were required to show a roof mounted blue light, but no idea if they were sourced from.

I can't say for sure,...or for 1076, but I believe the red lamp used on 1075 was a Lucas L691 or L692.

I'm not sure whether the Gelscoe light is exactly the same as the one on 1076.

In these photos you can just make out the chrome bezel and two screws top and bottom.

As the Lucas L691 was available in red, amber and clear, is it possible they painted a clear lens green??? Like I said, I'm not 100% certain.

I have watched this discussion for a while and want to share what I know if it helps. I built my 1075 replica mostly in the 1980s and during that time I saw 1075. I did take photos of various things and did ID the various lights. Being disabled now its difficult to check the numbers on my car but I will try as soon as I can. I remember being quite amused when I saw the Gelscoe 1075 replica and seeing that they had fitted some incorrect parts. I do remember thinking that if I built a 1076 car I might use a clear lens and colour it as someone has said here. If you throw some Lucas numbers at me it might jog my memory but I will try to check mine soon
