Hi All,
Have managed to melt the plastic rear screen in my old KVA...!!!....dont't ask....!!!....rather than replace it with plastic was wondering if anyone had ever replaced plastic with a glass one and if so could anyone provide supplier details.
Really would appreciate anyone taking the time to respond to help.

Kind regards

Marcus

Hi,

Andy Sheldon from Tornado Sports Cars supplied me with his TS40 rear screen. It was a reasonable fit into the 1992 KVA MK1 rear clip. It is bonded-in. Once the rubber cover strip has been bonded onto the glass edge, it has the appearance of a perfect fit. I destroyed 2 plastic back screens before going glass, and have now had no problems. Andy even supplies the adhesive. I did not even have to carry out any fettling, the glass went straight in. I am not aware of any size differences in the rear clip, so I can't help with that. I was very happy with the result. Good luck.

I just ordered a sheet of 5mm (about 3/16") UV resistance Polycarbonate (also called Lexan) to make my own screen. Just €50 localy.
