The engine is definitely not a Ferrari. Edelbrock does not make Ferrari valve covers. It is a Chevy or Buick V6. The transaxle is a Porsche 901, probably from a 914. I ran that transaxle in a Sable Mk III that I built.
Rare? Porsche made lots of 914s and they rusted out quickly...Concerning the transmission ;
It's maybe the most rare part in the lot as it is an 914 Porsche one !!!!
Some of those where fit into 904 racing Porsche so again a very rare gearbox !!!!
Those cars had oiginal central engine with rear gearbox so everything into the gearbox is in place to have gears working ok with no "flip up" or watever change on the crownwheel pinion position
Yes , that's right !!! But unfortunaly most of those where fit with VW engines and gearbox from the "van Combi" and not the proper future 912 4cylinder engine so very few probably ( do not remember how many ) fit with really this gear box that was used after for the 904 ....Rare? Porsche made lots of 914s and they rusted out quickly...
