New member from Switzerland - Greetings

A warm hello to all of you, I have been reading forum content here or there for many years and the content is wonderful and very technical, which is awesome. I used to own an FFR MkIII Roadster for over ten years and sold it a couple of years ago, since I never managed to get it road legal in Switzerland. So after buying an older Audi R8 as a toy I cannot get the American V8 out of head (and neck hair). I saw some members from Southern Germany, there is a Markus on Bodensee (Lake Constance) who I will certain contact to chat and learn more. I am hellbent on getting a GT40 road legal in Switzerland. Anyway, for now I will just be reading and reading and reading through all the forums, especially to understand the differences of the different manufacturers. I suspect I will need to try to find an older build or go the route of someone who was looking for old papers and history to purchase

Just for fun see attached the cobra and (uploading rules permitting it) a video of the Hillbank Motors California location I visited this week while over for work).

I look forward to meeting some of you in person and will continue to marvel at all the content. Thank you in advance already!

Welcome to GT40's Jochen. You are going about things properly by doing lots and lots of research. It appears things are never in the enthusiasts favor when trying to register a car in Europe.
Best of luck to you !!!

Regards Brian

Jochen, to upload a video, it must first be uploaded to a media site.
If you click on the media icon just right of the smiley face in the toolbar, you will get a dropdown box, asking for the URL of the file. It must be on one of these sites:
I have a video of one of my buddy's GT40 startup on a YouTube channel. I clicked on the media icon, inserted the URL and it appears below

Hope this helps you to use the forum, welcome to the group

Thank you for your kind words Brian, indeed. I love Europe and especially Switzerland (I’m a German living here for over 15 years), but for car enthusiasts the US is truly the land of the free…

Check with Urs as I think he may have one registered in Switzerland

Hi Ian, Perfect, thanks a million, just Pm‘ed him. Much appreciated. Even though it is a common name here, the photos look like a shop I know and that owner is called Urs as well. Would be a small world
