New Pricing

There's quite a few early (pre s/n 100) CAV GTs that have been fitted with our fabricated steel uprights. The parts deliver on all objectives:

A) improved control of the contact patch, resulting in more acceleration, more brakes, more lateral grip.

B) improved geometry, resulting in quicker steering, elimination of twitchy handling, much more feedback and reponsive to controls, more roll resistance, more anti-squat, better ride over uneven surfaces.

c) lightweight CNC hubs provide extra ventilation for brake rotor fins, reduced heat soak from brakes to axle bearings and CV joints. Front uprights are 1 pound heavier than the aluminum part they replace, the rears weigh the same as the aluminum castings!

Previously we offered a core credit for your old parts of 300.00 each. This reduced the price to 1200.00 each from 1500.00. Also I thought having a few old parts on hand (no longer made or available from Autofutra) would be nice for the guy who just needed to replace one corner, say after a curb impact.

As it turns out I was paying about 30.00 a pound for scrap aluminum because only 1 in 10 cores was rebuildable, after a thorough inspection. So we've scrapped the core exchange program (no pun intended). This has impacted the pricing...

Since most upgrading and maintainance work is done over the winter, and these parts are becoming more of a necessity than performance upgrade, the GT40s Forum members discount on one pair (fronts or rears) will increase from 10% to 15%, 3000.00-450.00=2550.00. The price still includes new SKF bearings and gloss black finish.

When you buy all four corners as a set, for a limited time, the discount goes up to 20% reducing the cost to 5,000.00 for four uprights.

The front uprights are bolt on parts, although the tie rods have to be shortened by .750 (there's lot's of thread available). Additional spacers are provided if you have the short upper A-Arms, to set the camber.

The rear uprights are also a bolt on part, you do need the new reversed lower A-Arms however as the stock rubber bushing and lack of toe adjustment aren't compatible with the new uprights. These are available at 1695.00 pair less forum discount 1525.00 pair,no exchange required.

The brake discs, calipers, stub axles, parking brake and coil overs all hook up as before. Well worth the money and effort, and believe me, completely changes how the car drives! In the pics below is a pair going on our Gulf promotion car, the four corner kit, the fronts, tyhe rears and comparison pics between stock and upgraded rears.
