Rear upright disassembly

Before I go tearing things apart that I shouldn't, can someone confirm for me the proper order for removing the rear hubs from the upright assemblies? There's a large nut attached to the spindle, I assume this comes off first then the hub assembly can be removed by loosening the 4 attaching bolts?

Does someone have the proper torque for the large nut when re-assembling? I also noticed there is a notch in the threaded section of the spindle, presumably so you can deform the outer lip of the nut once proper torque is achieved, this wasn't done from the factory.

Should I deform the nut once re-assembled or go with some blue loctite? The lip on the nut is pretty thick, thicker than the safety nuts I'm used to seeing.
