Never heard of them. Maybe an air filter “sock” that goes over the intake pipe like a condom to keep debris out? I’ve seen those on dirt bikes before.

What is a "sand sock"?

Can be called an outer filter also most commonly used to keep sand from clogging your filter off roading or duning.

Basically. FilterWears makes them for all sizes of filters, even air horns. Very smooth to the touch and water beads off also.

That's really cool work, Scott. Lots of very detailed home/handmade stuff. I like that kind of build. I have always loved the 50-60 Ferrari's and other Italian race cars. All those handmade parts are beautiful.
