Stiil want 5 speed trans axle

Hi all,

I am still looking for an Audi 5 speed trans axle. The 3U is the current damaged unit I have.

I am after the centre cast section - gear carrier casing.

Any 5 speed from 1983 - 1987 is suitable 5000 models.

Any contact or links would be good.

Interlinked used car parts for the US. Select 1986, Audi, 5000, Transmission, then either 5N or AAZ. Two pages of them, average price $500. Phone numbers provided for the breaker that has the unit. Ring them up, have it shipped over.

The 5N and AAZ ceter section is the same as the 3U. You'll just need to swap your innards over.

if got bit more i would rather go for the audi 6speed box.

 

I have a Audi 016, 5N, with new (uninstalled) Quaife LSD for sale. I paid $2,800. for both and will take $1,900. for them now. Got to pay my medical bills..............

I would get either the G50 or a ZF, but I'm keen to get it going for now.

I will however go this way in the near future.

I currently have a 944 trans axle that I'm pulling apart to see if the housing will fit. It appears identical on the outside.
