If you drive your GT in the dark (and you DO, don't you?) the lack of any lighting inside other than the instruments can be an issue. Trying to find something in the door pocket or the item that rolled off the passenger seat into the footwell is impossible.
With a light from an early 80's Mustang mounted to the roof drain box this is solved! These swivel map lights turn on when released from the storage position and off when returned to the nest. These came on Mustangs, Capris and some higher level Fairmonts and Zephyrs. There are versions that also have a dome lamp in the front but they are too long to fit the SPF roof box. I installed threaded nutserts and used stainless screws to retain this, power from the engine bay with a fuse and you have a usefull addition to your GT40. And with genuine Ford parts to boot!
