Wheels & Wings 2012 - Photos

Osceola Wisconsin held their annual Wheels & Wings event at the municipal airport yesterday. It was a beautiful day with full sun, temps in the low 70's and a good breeze. I'm not a big airplane guy so I didn't take any photos of them but I did take a few of the cars. There was a tremendous range of vehicles from original early 1900's American to a Lambo Murcielago convertible. They held a 1/4-mile speed run and the sport bikes pretty much walked away with the top speed - up near 140 I think.

There were a couple of kit cars including a highly modified Laser 917 with a tube chassis, modified body and doors, 4-wheel discs, and a Fiat Abarth 1800 engine of all things. There was also a Fiberfab Valkyrie, and multiple Cobras. Anyway, here are a few of the vehicles that caught my attention......

Very cool Dave.. I need to get back up there for that show. Always a good time!
Maybe next year, you will have your Europa there with the others and get a Lotus Corral going!

You didn't snap a shot or two of the red '63 split window beside the red 'whatever-it-was' (see P9080011.jpc)?!

Shame on you, sir! :flameon:

Randy - You should definitely come up next year. It's a great event and I think this year they had one of the largest turnouts ever. The Lotus club was all parked together - they put us on a gravel lot area which didn't make some of the club members too happy.... I can't wait to see what Dave has been doing to my Europa!

Larry - Sorry about that! There were hundreds of cars and quite a number of split window Vettes in attendance. I'll take more pictures next time ;-)
