Re: team elite T70 and vintage footage

Richard Meins does not have SL76/144. He has a car constructed in the 1990's, and I understand that he knows this and I realize and appreciate that he is not the one posting that he has SL76/144.
There are two cars with SL76/144 roots. I own one of them and Kenne Bristol owns the other one. Mine has the chassis plate and is known as "SL76/144" re-chassied. It has nothing to do with Richards car. Kenne Bristol has the car built from the BOSS Capri which is the car that Richard legitimately thought he owned. Kenne's car is known as "T76/144". Both Kenne's car and Richard's were owned by the same person in the mid 1990s and perhaps that is where the confusion lies. The FIA is aware of the situation. Lola has been through it with all those involved. It is very common with Lola T70s to have been crashed or otherwise needed a new chassis and to have subsequent cars with the same chassis number.

In my opinion SL76/144 was crashed in 1970 and no longer exists as the car that left the Lola factory in 1969, but the pieces that do remain exist as I have described and none of them are on Richard Meins' T70, even though it is a very nice car and I am sure I would enjoy sharing a track with him in the future. By the way, I don't care what chassis number someone writes down on a race entry in order to gain a spot on a grid. I want to see them race !
