Newbie questions

I have alot of questions and dont really know were to begin. Im very interested in building a GT40. Im an experienced chassis builder. I would like to build my own chassis "Maybe from plans or scratch build. Is their anyone in the US hopefully midwest that has an affordable body kit ????
