Rep Power: 57 | A registry - Bob Suggestion Bob C sent me a suggestion to do a GT40 registry and I'm looking into doing that. It'd be something similar to this: http://registry.fordgtforum.com/
Now, what sort of info do we want on the registry? Since it'll be linked to the registered user all that info will be there anyway, but some of it might should be on the page for easy searching:
Car
Car Manufactuer
Chassis Number
Color/Scheme
Engine
Induction
HP
TQ
Transaxle
User Name (from profile)
Location (from profile)
What do you think?

LHD/RHD, left/right/centre gear stick.
How about a space for 'special' features as many cars have 1 offs?

Rep Power: 8 | A GT40 car registry with pictures and spec sheets would probably have lots of readers, especially for new comers who are thinking about buying cars. I think it is a worthwhile idea and I like the recomendations that have been made.
However, the true intent of my suggestions to Ron was to gain visibility and boost visits to GT40s.com. I thought that would be good for this website, buyers, sellers, and especially for all the advertisers, if search engines such as Google frequently listed GT40s.com near the top of their search list whenever “GT40” or the brand names of replicas were entered.
The frequency this happens can be increased if photograph names include “GT40” as part of the picture name, and more importantly, if GT40s.com is listed as a “go to” hyperlink from other websites. The logic of many search engines is that if one website lists another, then the listed website must be a good technical resource and therefore should be at the top of the search list.
There are enough current GT40s.com members with influence over personal, club, and business websites, that as a group we should be able to tip the system in our direction. At the very least, each GT40 club and website should link to all the others. In this case, a rising tide lifts all boats. |

Rep Power: 10 | I think this would be a great idea if it's possible to do in a way that allows for browser-based data entry. I agree with all of the additions noted (dates especially).
