Master Cylinder Sizes

A General query really. In your experiences, what master cylinder bore sould i be looking at in the following scenario.

-Bias pedal box with 6.25 pedal ratio
-standard Granda brake setup to start with upgrade in the future but nothing to large
-remote servos are an option, pros and cons....
-car usage will be normal/fast road with the odd track day

Think i might have opened a can of worms but other peoples opinion would at least give me a clue

The AP site has formulas to work it all out on caliper piston sizes.

To be honest the only 2 combos I have ever had to use .
5/8 front
3/4 rear
Thats with 4 spot front 2 spot rear. 5:1 pedal.

6:1 pedal
3/4 front
7/8 rear
Gives a higher pedal.

If your calipers are only a 2 spot or fist caliper you will probly be fine with the smaller cylinders.
Then you dont need the booster ,one less part.

If you are going to put a booster on you may find the larger cylinders will give a better pedal.

I have a Dax

Just on the road and at SVA tey were happy with the brakes
Tilton Pedal Box
Brakes both 0.7inch
Clutch at 0.75 inch Into Renault Slave

Fronts are Austin Princess 4 pot calipers and fit drectly on Granada uprights
Rears are of Saab 900 fronts as the Saab used a handbrale on the front axle

I believe Paul Walton used 0.7 on both brakes and he runs standard Granada stuff on his Tornado with no problems
