Re: Holley vs 48 IDA\'s back to back dyno result!!!

Very interesting info 289.

What size chokes were the Webers fitted with, and how much time was spent on the dyno fine tuning each carb setup? Also, do you know the specs of the cam that was used?

For folks like me who prefer pictures to numbers, here's the numbers as a graph.

Ron,

Looks like you are going to get some good material for that Dyno section.

Bernie,It would be FANTASTIC (for all members) if you post Rear wheel HP results once you have installed this motor in a vehicle.

Kevin, I think Ron was talking about a section for rear wheel HPs.

Re: Holley vs 48 IDA\'s back to back dyno result!!!

We'll accept anything in the dyno section, provided they are dyno results. I strongly prefer rear wheel numbers because so often the 500hp stoker turns into the 325 rwhp stroker. Mine stoker will probably do the same. Makes me even happier with my tiny 2.2L Lotus!!

Re: Holley vs 48 IDA\'s back to back dyno result!!!

289, any chance you could tell us the runner length of the IDA's? That would be the length from the head flange to the bellmouthed webber inlet.

I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that the runner length for the webbers was longer than the primaries of the victor jr.

Re: Holley vs 48 IDA\'s back to back dyno result!!!

Thanks Bernie,

I think the Victor Jr. is more like 12-16" (the length varies quite a bit from runner to runner) from the plenum to the valve, so this probably explains most of torque difference.
