Question Ford SB Galley Plugs - Thread Size

I've got two plugs to put in the side of my block but I'm out of plugs. What size thead are they? One is up high on the 1-4 bank at the back and appears to go into the cam area, the other is around the motor mount on the 1-4 bank. I don't remember them being a NPT thread and type.

Ron

Try a 7/16 UNC bolt or possibly 1/2 UNC, if the bolt screws in at least 4 turns & its a snug fit & not a taper thread they are just accessory boss's. If they are 1/4 npt then they are either coolant drains from the block or oil gallerys.

They are either 1/4" or 3/8" National pipe thread.
