As you can see, I have found out how to get my picture `ìn the picture`.
I almost had as much space trouble with the water pump and altenator. The whole system fits in neatly as per the origional out put position after a bit of juggling. There is a flange where I could have put a reducer if `back pressure`was an issue. The chassis is all painted up and assembly is underway with the body also having been fitted and painted.

Looks Great - How about some more pics of the body et al.?

I put my alternator where you have your water pump, and am planning to used a Davies Craig electric pump. Have to remote mount the oil filter as well.

Interesting how there are many ways to achieve the same result.
I could not fit the water pump in the the rear space provided as I have built to factory bulkhead spaces. I bought one of those pumps and did not like the thought of trusting such a pisy little thing so went belt driven impeller / mechanical,ex common Nissan. The alt is ex a Diahatsu for size and weight as its not going on the road. All pully`s are ex varied micro groove and the main drive is mounted of the back of the harmonic balancer boss to save length. The oil filter is remote also as the cooler is in the side pod.

Yea, I'm still not 100% convinced about the DCWP, but i'm going to give it a try at least. I went to the trouble of borrowing a flow meter and plumming it into the water circuit on my proto mock up, and then into a friends V8 landy to compare the flow, which seemed comparable at speeds below 4000 rpm. Above that the flow got too turbulent to measure. I have been meaning to documnet the test to add to the "web wisdom" on the DCWP, but think that would be a bit pointless untill I have tried it in the car for real.

When I build the car for real I also have to fit a dry sump pump in thier somewhere as well

On Jet Boats we have used a Holden 202 6cyl water pump mounted on a simple flat plate similar to the one you have with the inlet pipe welded to it Fred. These were only about 3" long compared to the normal Rover Pump.
May still be too long for your applications though.

Hey Fred, would be interested to hear your thoughts. I am going to completly rmove my mechanical pump for a 110 DCWP (see my build thread). I know however, some memebers will say 'why?' and have done to me quite strongly in the past with some quite derogatory comments when mentioned. All I remember (hopefully correctly) is that ProDrive ran twin 80 pumps on the 550 Le Mans cars back in 2003 and they lasted the race. Also it means I don't have to do the 'bump' on the firewall, but that's just my 0.02
