Help needed with my renault un1 speedo cable
I am just checking if anyone has had to removed your speedo cable
I have taken the pinch clip off, undone the screws and the plate.
Can i now just pull the cable out????
It feels like it is attached inside the gearbox.

Hale,

once you have removed the pinchclip, your cable should just pull out.

It just has a squared end.

As Graham says, it pulls straight out (up) once the pinch clip is removed.

Once you have it out, if the square section socket it goes in to is very 'tight' you can ease it slightly by taking the handle off a file and VERY GENTLY tapping the tang in to the socket.

The key words above being 'VERY GENTLY'
