i`m in trouble now

hi all
i have just inherited/done a deal on a unfinished project, kit car with v8 and masserati gearbox, the whole package needs to be stripped blasted/cleaned rebuilt, everything checks out fine, but i will need help with the gear linkage, at the moment gears in centre so help with linkage from there with standard H shift or point me towards excisting thread, regards marshwiggle

Welcome to the forum

I presume you have a Citreon-Maserati box, which was used on early Lotus Esprits. This used a rod-shift design with a central shifter, so it would be worth searching some of the Lotus forums for info. Have a look at my build log, as I scratch built the linkage for my Renault box to give you a few more ideas.

the photo`s from your build have helped immensly, i like the way the gearshift ends up on the door side rather than centre of the car ( i havn`t changed gear right handed since my old mans LHD VW variant) i plan to photo the complete unit as is then strip and rebuild with a full photo library, thanx again
