| Luis Nieves Mark1 Hello gentlemen, My name Luis E. Nieves and I want to show you my last work, a CG model of a beautiful Mark 1. This kind of 3D models are used in films or TV commercials, to be able of film in detail, making shots impossible to achieve in real life. They are used in advertising for product visualization, or for VFX studios that in the worst case scenario are going to crash them... I had good experiences myself making some virtual changes for owners, who want to see new paint schemes, change the rims etc., before they make a interesting money investment. I will appreciate your feedback and comments. |

It's so hard to believe that all of your images are CG. Some of them are so realistic!
You've got some unbelievable talent!
Keep them coming.

echo the other comments, such realism and stunning renditions.
How did you achieve the accuracy of form of the body, is that discussed in your forum thread?

Dave | Hello Dave, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately there's no technical aspects implemented in my thread, I'm sorry. Is more a step by step construction of the model in a virtual environment. I didn't base my modeling process on measurements, or mechanical data. I just downloaded about 250 pictures of the car, some of them from this website, and start the process with a very basic and not accurate blueprints that I can provide.I have some .pdf documents of restorations if you want to take a look, but I believe I don't have anything you haven't seen before. Please let me know if you want to check something in particular.
The HiRes images of the model are available now in the gallery, I'm sure you are going to enjoy it. GT40s.com - PhotoPlog - View File |

Here what Maya is about. Look's like Luis is an animator or designer. Nice work Luis. I gave my son all of my animation software and he likes Maya the best.

| Re: Luis Nieves Mark1 I am totally staggered - espescially by the degree of detail on ancilliary components - and even to some chalk writing on one of the tyres.
CGI has kust taken a massive step forward. A rare talent with such an eye for detail.
Well done Luis. |

Great work. Probably the best introduction I have seen here on the forum.
I noticed that those files are quite large, 13mb or so, and the detail is really nice when zooming in.
Will the software allow you 360 deg. views?
Really awesome!
Cheers
Phil
