Rep Power: 58 | Re: Historic GTs? Good point, it isn't just for race cars. Any original GT40s, but I don't think MK-Vs fit this area.

Rep Power: 10 | Re: Historic GTs? Two Original GT40s racing today at Brands Hatch, along with T70s, Chevrons, Tojeiro Jaguar and McLaren M1a.The Mark Lemmer/Barwell Motorsport car did well, but the Chris Chiles Scuderia Filipnetti car had a big off and was quite badly damaged. In another race there was a field of 8 Can Am cars and about 25 others including many Chevrons, Lolas, a March and McLaren sportscars and sports prototypes. Richard Eyre ran away with the win in an immaculate M8F. The sounds were incredible, still got goosebumps. [color:blue] [color:black] |

There is nothing like the sounds of those big Can Am's!
What happened in the shunt. I hope it wasn't too bad. |

Rep Power: 10 | Re: Historic GTs? I didn't actually see the shunt, but the 40 was brought back to the pits on a low loader. The front clip was gone, the rad and all of the front surround was pushed in, the rear clip was badly damaged and the exhaust system squashed. The wheels looked as if they were still in alignment, so hopefully the monocoque is undamaged. |
