Wow, that's got that sorted then! Roll on 2008.

| Re: F1 2007 Some stupidity from the UK press: F1 supporters association report that British media is speculating that Felipe Massa is in talks with Toyota so as to free up the seat at Ferrari for Alonso. Though Alonso has been linked to other teams, Renault and Red Bull for 2008, his manager is still insisting that he will be driving for McLaren in 2008, but recent revelations of a cold climate between Ron Dennis and Fernando Alonso has lead fans to believe that this will be his last year in a McLaren.
imho,How about the deigo tending his garden in 2008? Massa has been doing an OK job in the red car. |

I think this whole affair has been much more interesting than the racing!

| Re: F1 2007 Stepney will cash in on scandal
from Planet f1 The man at the centre of this year's spying scandal, Nigel Stepney, will release an autobiography next spring detailing his version of F1's biggest ever controversy.
The former Ferrari mechanic is in the process of writing what the publisher calls: "A fascinating look at Formula One and his own account of the "Stepneygate" saga".
Lorie Coffey of Red Mist Books said: "He intends to cover every aspect of his life in and out of Formula One, plus an in-depth account of the recent 'Stepneygate' saga.
"He has not had the opportunity to put across his point of view about the whole affair, and that is what he wants to do now. He is not doing this for any financial gain whatsoever.
"It follows him from his childhood, through Broadspeed, Shadow, Benetton and Ferrari and is an in-depth and truthful account of his life in and out of Formula One." |

| Re: F1 2007 From F1 SA yesterday:
Thursday, 27 September 2007 The Grand Prix Masters series will soon be a memory. The chassis supplier, Delta Special Projects, has filed a petition for a hearing scheduled for the 28th of November 2007 in a London court, to wind up the company. GP Masters featured Champ Car style chassis cars for ex racers over the age of 40 with drivers such as Rene Arnoux, Emerson Fittipaldi, Eddie Cheever and Nigel Mansell and raced in 3 events held at the Highveld circuit in South Africa, Kyalami, Qatar and the last race at Silverstone in 2006, which disappointed British fans when Mansell suffered technical problems resulting in him being parked in the garage for most of the race. Well, that's that then. There is a container load of engines and transmissions near Reading going nowhere. They'll probably end up in hill climbs and sprints. What fun. I wonder if one might slot into a GT40 look-a like or maybe a Caterham
to do the shopping..............
From Wikipedia:
powered by naturally aspirated 80-degree 3.5-litre V8 engines produced by Nicholson McLaren. The engines are based on the Cosworth XB engines previously used in IndyCar racing, and according to the series organisers produce more than 650 bhp at 10,400rpm with over 320lbft torque at 7,800rpm.
In 2007 cars will be powered by a Mecachrome 90-degree V8 4.0 litre. It develops 600 BHP and revs to in excess of 9500rpm. [3] Gearbox operation is fully manual, and controlled by a contemporary paddle shift arrangement. |

I think maybe that Hamilton kid might be the real deal. I don't want to be too premature on that, but it seems like he is.

| Re: F1 2007 That's a wrap.
Ferrari - Constructors.
LH - Drivers.
Shanghai and Sao Paolo are academic.
IMHO.
Interesting 2 hours? - yes with some reasonable tactics in play but Ferrari
have denied they received the email and started on Inters when Full Wets were called for by FIA's Charlie Whiting. The email was timed to be 12:15 local time which was 15 minutes after final fuel declarations - that should cause some interesting debate in the next week.
Pat Symonds remarked that 2 rookies on the podium was quite something.
It was a pity that Vettel didn't make it 3. He so nearly did.
