McLaren today

Filmed a story at McLaren in Woking today.
Sadly no piccies as a VERY strict "no photographs" policy in place.
Plenty of old/new Formula 1 cars around as well as THREE F1's and at least 40 SLR's in various stages of construction.
I don't think anyone would recognise the areas as a workshop, much more akin to an operating theatre. Interesting day though.

It'll be aired on a prog called world business as well as one called the business of sport. CNBC Europe, Star world in Asia, PBS in the US as well as a million and one airliners. No transmission date yet sorry.

Happy to say that I have been there, real secret squirrell stuff, the place could easily be from a science fiction set. Great to see the cars in such pristine condition and the work areas were cleaner than a hospital theatre. In fact we still have the swipe card security pass. 4 days later we went thru the Ferrari Factory.

The M8D is my favorite. I see that shot from the rear and wish they would have put those center supports on the D before that fateful test day.
