Bonhams are to auction this very rare 1960 Jaguar E2A. Estimated worth seven $million.

Driven by no fewer than four of the world’s greatest racing drivers (Sir Jack Brabham, Bruce McLaren, Dan Gurney and Walt Hansgen), ‘E2A’ is, says Bonhams, ‘presented in wonderfully original and unspoiled ex-works condition, preserved in just one family ownership for over 40 years’. So it is, in effect, a one-owner car ex-works.

Pete,

This car was on display at the Lime Rock vintage festival last year and it is a real beauty. It does appear to be in original but excellent condition.Has a nice patina (almost handmade it appears). I believe Masten Gregory drove this car as well.If you ever get a chance to read his bio entitled "Masten Gregory Totally Fearless" do it. He was one hell of a driver. His dices with Archie Scott Brown are well detailed in it as well as his GT40 exploits.

Cheers,
