Peter Bryant passes on

Apparently Peter Bryant, chief engineer who was instrumental in bringing the Shadow CanAm cars to life passed on due to a heart attack yesterday.
He was 71.

He was great fun to listen to recounting tales of the challenges presented going up against McLaren and others back in the day.

Another from the "Golden Era" of motorsport is gone. He will be missed...

His book "Can-Am Challenger" is a great read of adventure and all the silly things we do to live around the pointy end of the automotive arena. Starting with putting a shop made rocket through the roof of the Lotus offices when he was an apprentice there.

It's sad that he is gone.
