Hey good effort Ian but a Palindrome should be a word that means something shouldn't it and if you removed the first letter the word would be meaningless there not a palindrome like Abba for example!

If you take the first letter and put it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it'll be the same/original word. Kinda like what iank2112 said.
