Maybe it's time for something a bit more uplifting than the usual stuff on here. So here are some pics of something a bit special. Carvings in limewood done by Grinling Gibbons 1648 – 1721. Amazing stuff and even more amazing when you see his work in the flesh. Lots of info and pics on Google etc. There are some modern carvers who do his type of carving but he was the originator of this type of delicate work.

Very nice..
In the first photo, there appears to be a 'bottom' in the top right corner.
God knows why a bunch of 'grapes' is hanging from it ?
Perhaps someone of a medical persuasion may care to comment...
