Lightbulb Windshield Storage

In case there are others out there like me with a crowded garage that need a safe place to store their windshield while working on their RCR-40s, here's a pic of a small crate crate I built this morning that conforms to the shape of the windshield.

If you take a piece of 1/4" x 6" pine lattice from Home depot that is 48 inches long, secure the center and raise each end up 5 1/2" you will have a perfect rest for your glass. I probably went overboard on the crate, but with kids going in and out, I didn't want to risk having to drive 10 hours to Fran's and back to get a new windshield before mile 1 in the 40. I and also wrapped it up with a few layers of stretch pallet wrap to keep out flying objects :-).

Regards,

Al
