For a change of topic, what literature is provided with the kit in regards to titling? I need to do my homework to see what the State of Louisiana needs in regards to this. Do they provide a title or a point of origin certificate? Excuse my ignorance in this area...replica cars are still new to me. |

GT-350 has sold. (I guess I better change my picture!) I still have to do some homework on titling the chassis. |

I stopped into the tag agency today on my way home from work to see about getting a title for my car. It seems like a piece of cake here in Fla. I simply bring in the cert of origion and pay the tax and a $50.00 fee and its done...at least that is what they told me. I will try to do it tomorrow if I have time and we'll see how it goes. I'll let you know.
Dan. |

Thanks for the feedback. |

I tried that here in NC with the RF and they sent me a fairly nasty letter wanting to send a DMV person out to look at it with the highway patrol. I declined that offer and Lynn and I figured out the "right" way to do it in NC, which was much more involved. |

Rep Power: 5 | Re: New Upcoming RF Purchase (General Questions) Well, I'll keep the newbie questions rolling...
Does the manual cover exactly how to hang the doors? Body fitment and door hanging looks like the only tricky part of the build to me. I'm pretty sure I can knock out the suspension and sheet metal with few problems.
Once we get the body fitted, we're going to move the body panels to my dad's workshop and do the body work there (We'll do the chassis / interior assembly at my place.)
I know...getting way ahead of myself...but we're trying to plan this out as we'll have a few months before delivery of the kit. |

I just wanted to know what I needed to do to get things started. Well I showed them my bill of sale and cert. of origin and they say no problem and type away, a few minutes later walk out with tags in hand. Last Thur. my title came in the mail and Fri.. received a letter from DMV approving my application for tags ( 65GT40 ) |

Rep Power: 13 | Re: New Upcoming RF Purchase (General Questions) Simon, that's good news! I stopped by TxDOT and they didn't seem to think it was a big deal, but did say I needed to start at the county.
Hey, by the way, I hooked up with Harris Engine and struck a deal with them. Thanks for the lead. |
