RF Dashboard gauge location

Looking through the RF build manual I recently recieved (Cheers Rick and Carol) I see a picture of the dash board showing the Speedo direclty in front of the driver and Tacho off to the left(right hand drive).

My question is when the kit arrives will the dash come prewired and set up this way? Or will I have the chance to switch these two around? It makes more sense to me to have the tacho directly in line of sight and the speedo out in left field so to speak.

Cheers for the help.

Re: RF Dashboard gauge location

Hi Dave,
I beleive the dash harness has long enough leads to allow the switch. Several of the RF owners have done this.

Re: RF Dashboard gauge location

Australian Design Rules demand that the speedo is in front of the driver, hence that position. Owners can and do swap it back to the original setup. I think I can recall the new Mini having similar problems here in OZ. Regards Norman

I had no problem switching mine so that the tach was front and center.

Cheer Lads,

I thought that must be the case.

Hersh, I want to discuss your process for lowering the engine/transaxle when using the audi trany. I will drop you a line off post.
