Dyno Results

Great looking motor and results Neal. Dyno days are nail biting days. If you're like me, when the rpms start into the 5K plus range, you just pray nothing flies apart!
Was there any extended high rpm loads or just ramping type pulls?
What did the torque curve look like at lower rpm? I also run a hydraulic roller and the torque curve was pretty flat from 3200 rpm up.

I spent yesterday at the dyno breaking in the motor and tuning the setup. Outstanding results and well worth the effort.

Oh, you wanted to know the results?

Now come on, I can't let the cat out of the bag. I've seen some of the crafty types lurking around here. I hope I have enough to run with the big boys!

The alternator mount is of my own doing. 1/8" mild steel. Seems to work well.

Nail biting! When I went to prime the motor I couldn't get any oil pressure!

Turns out the pump shaft wasn't seated.

We made a couple of 30-60 second 6200 rpm pulls without incident. I have one pull from 3000 to 6200. Torque at 3k is 315 ft/lb. A nice flat curve. I understand that there are new higher rpm hydraulic lifters. Valve float was evident at 6500. It would be interesting to see where the HP curve begins to fall.
