Isn't the Lotus V8 tranny the usual UN1 we all use? I thought it was but with a different shifter mechanism plus most likely different mounts and bell housing. Can anyone confirm? When Lotus began using the renault boxes I remember the prices of the UN1 rocketed up!
I believe that this is an early lotus transaxle from the europa. Its modern equivalent is the NG-3 from a fuego. Neither is well regarded by my local french car wrecker, so I'd say they are not suitable.
