Hi Mark

every now and then I get an itch that just has to be scratched.
I think that Mirage in the picture is so lonely that a twin brother or sisters is called for.
Chris.

maybe it's just me,,,but the windshield in the picture has a strong resemblence to a McLaren M6GT windshield.
If they are indeed the same, they M6GT ones are available through a fellow about an hours drive away from me. He has windshield tooling and body molds for the "manta montage" kits.

Hello Chris !!!
I believe there is a fellow in New York, that has a Mirage or parts. I'll see if I can dig up his email. It has been about a year since I have heard anything from him. I'll see what I can find out.
Regards Brian

Chris, If I remember right; Wasn't the whole Mirage thing ( cars & parts) bought by Harley Cluxton. Harley has been around for a long time as a car collector. I think he is in Phoenix, Arizona under the name of GT Cars.
Harley was the US Dealer for Graham McRea Race Cars back in 1973-'74 located in Chicargo, Illinois. I was part of McRea's pit crew back then in 1973 Formula 5000 series. That's when he gave me a ride in the GT40 MKIV. Harley also had Mark Donahue's 512 Ferrari in Sonoco colors sitting in the shop.
I'll see what I can find out. Harley might have some parts sitting around or may know of some.

Hi Bill
I know Harley has a screen, but trying to get him to part with it is another matter, however
we would be prepared to pay for new tooling to be made from his screen which he could keep provided we got several screens for our project.
I know the body was originally moulded at Specialised Mouldings in Huntingdon England but they went broke several years ago, I guess the receiver sold the assets to someone

Chris.

Hi Chris

I think Peter Jackson who ran Specialised Mouldings is still around. The company did some moulds for a prototype Gilbern. The Owners Club was in contact with him a little while back. Peter Wright also worked at Specialised Mouldings with the late Tony Rudd, before going into F1. He had a Ferrari book published recently so he should still be contactable. It's clutching at straws - but I think most things will be with this one.

Good luck.

Rob
