I am unfortunately selling my 40 due to family and career commitments (got money but no time!!). It is a GTD40 in Gulf blue/orange with modified 302. Completed in 1989, built and used for sprinting and hill-climbing (not concourse) until 1992 since then it has been stored in a garage. Was road registered (incorrectly) to enter road going classes and was MOT’d and used on the road. Less than 600 miles on the clock.
Chassis:
GTD chassis/body with single & twin vent nostril, Granada/Scorpio discs all round; Spax adjustable shocks; front & rear (adjustable) anti roll bars f/glass inner chassis panels. Revolution 5 spoke 3 piece wheels. Nylon bushes throughout. Correct instrumentation and switches.
Engine/Transmission
Ford 302, balanced, lightened, roller rockers & guide plates, 1.6/1.9 valves. Holley 750 double pumper on Torquer 2 manifold. GTD exhaust system into special Custom Chrome silencer box. Renault 30 5 speed box (3.88 dif) with rod change. AP triple plate clutch (road going AP single plate unit available).
Requires TLC, windscreen & seats, ideal winter project @ circa £20k with 4 wheel trailer.
