90-91 G50 family

I just had a thought: I know some of you out there have converted some of the later G50s with the round mount on the nose with the 87-89 nose cover. But, what if a CMS side shift setup was put on one of these transaxles; would it fit inside the rear clip without changing the nose section?? Just a thought.

And speaking of CMS side shifts, has anyone purchased one or had Bobby Hart set their transaxle up with one??
