Jack...Belated Thanks...Going to polycarb (Lexan) vs std plexi (lucite) solved the heat deformation problem I was having (if I was stopped at idle speed/ no air movement over the plexi plate it would deform around the high header even with my heat plate and high header wrapped).
Original plate by Olthoff was OK untill I was playing with improving the AC system and stupidly ran the car at 2,000RPMs stopped with the clamshell closed during AC charging that caused a lot of static heat (no air flow like running on road...BTW no engine temp issues so the coolant system/larger fans and Olthoff shroud work great) and that deformed what was evidently Polycarb originally Olthoff installed.
I made new plate out of plexi from Lowes that deformed with just a little ideling time at low RPM.
So Jack was correct about the higher temp tolerance of polycarb.
