Quad Downdrafts and Emissions

I have managed to locate a set of "as new" 48 Dellortos on Rover manifolds (unheated)

Now the price seems fair but I am worried that they will not meet the UK MOT requirements for the 1990 engine they will be fitted to. (Currently running Ef1)

So can anyone tell me if a set of these will be able to legally pass the emissions of 3.5 CO and 1200 HC?

Or is this not going to work without loads of Dyno time and expense with jets etc?

Cheers

It may be a toughy Ian...

Your camshaft will play a key role in how well those Webers behave on an Individual runner intake manifold... The less overlap the better.

Cam specs are

43/79/79/43 302 degrees .500" lift

Remember this is also only a 3.9l engine! (Similar to Range Rover)

If that helps at all

Ian - It's the close Lobe separation angles (overlap) that will screw you up...

Inglese cams designed for Webers have 115 degree lobe centers..
