Things not to miss at the classic

I went last time and had a brilliant time, but I think I missed out on stuff.
What time and day are the GT40 club going to be driving on the track?
Anything else we shouldn't miss while we're there?

Simon,

Amongst the best memories i have, is standing on the roof of a van parked right next to the fence, down by the chicane and watching 917's downchanging. The race took place on the saturday evening and you witnessed 3 to 4 feet of flame coming out the back and red hot disc brakes.
So my one bit of advice, is catch some of the racing as its getting dark.

Simon,

Think you should speak to Ian Anderson really, but my input for now is that there are the Track Laps on the Friday night and the Club/Parade Laps on the Saturday morning (not sure of precise times off the top of my head).

Other things to do/see (but I'm sure you probably did these anyway) - all the paddocks, the pits (if you can get in), the village: shops/market stalls/entertainment etc. There is an auction but think its not cheap to get in there. There's also the museum, which you pay for separately if you want to (I haven't actually been in the main part, only the front/cafe).

Cheers,

Max
