| Cobra track day Some footage of the Queensland Cobra Club track day at Morgan Park.
The GT40 having the lose is Peter Ransom's, and is driven by our old Forum mate Flatchat. Obviously the set up was all wrong. A Chris? YouTube - Morgan Park 2008

It was a great day, especially for the newbies and the ladies (you know, the Cobra / GT 40 widows ) --cough , grovel .
Pete made me do it ! --must admit, that the first few laps were testing the limits --pitted --altered a few issues then she was on song as far as Hoosier R6s were concerned-- a good set of slicks and a bit more tweeking --it would be blistering. Look out Ross , I think its about time we brought the show "down' to Phillip Island in November --before Ian gets going --- wadiyasay??

I won't forget Peter Ransom's face while he watched Flatchat perform a few crowd pleasing spins in his GT40.
Where were you Pete???
Hope to have an RCR or two at the next one to keep the DRB's honest. |

| Re: Cobra track day I had planned to go Craig but it was bucketing down at my place so I pulled the pin. I should have known it wouldn't rain on Warwick.

| Re: Cobra track day Got a bit close on the 2nd one there Chris. I guessed they were road tyres, squeeling like pigs. As for the 1 hour at Phillip Island, I still dont have a big enough tank and fitting one just for 1 race meeting doesn't make a lot of sense, but then when have I ever had any, sense that is.

Rep Power: 9 | Re: Cobra track day I thought Peter R was still using DOT R tyres. Mind you I didn't look this time.
The other GT40's were all on standard road rubber from memory.
Nothing looked better than seeing all those GT40's out on the track. |
