I seem to remember reading some discussion here on the forum about individuals who own both a GT40 and a Pantera, but I did a quick search and didn't see what I thought was there. Senility is a bad thing...

So how many people are there?

I have an SPF MkII and a Pantera
Mike Trusty has an SPF MkII and a Pantera
We'll let Jack be an honorary member since he has an SPF MkI and used to own the earliest Pantera known to man
Kelly Coffield just joined the ranks with an SPF MkII and he has a Pantera
Ron McCall RCR and a Pantera

Who else wants to admit to it? Should we start our own forum?

Y'all have a nice weekend.

I was told today that Jeff Hamilton has sold his Pantera.

SPF Mk1 GT40 as well as '72 Gr.4 clone and '74L Panteras. (I'm currently building a 377 Cleveland stroker for the '72 based upon Kirby's advice given at Elkhart Lake. Thanks, Kirby).

BEAUTIFUL! That is really beautiful... wait was worth it! We have been waiting for ours in the body shop for a couple years also... I took pics of it not long ago, almost ready for paint. Bored waiting for it so we bought the GT40 to play with until its done. There is a pantera club up here but no GT40 club, looking for info on getting one started if possible, seems to be quite a few GT40 owners up here.

Brad went ahead and had the hood on his Pantera customized, it has a GT40 nostril in it now. Hope nobody minds but here are some pics of the work thats been completed so far. When it gets done we will sort of match...

What's to be ashamed of? Great power plant, incredible looks, great handling. I think it's hard to like one and NOT like the other. Having the garage space on the other hand is a bit more of a problem for some of us.

Any guesses as to what's on the lift in Marks' garage?

I think a Pantera/GT40 Club would be a great idea for car owners in particular. There's common parts and service issues and a knowledge base to share.

Cheers

Well thats kind of the direction I am wanting to go, help start a club. There is no GT40 club in the Northwest although there is a Pantera club. Never having done it before I am clueless as to how one goes about getting started. I think there is a place for one. There are quite a few GT's around.

I know whats on that lift in the pics :)

The GT40/Pantera community where I am is pretty great. Not an actual "club" per-se, but guys sharing an interest that get together as often as we can. Many times it's just a few guys to help solve another's woes and often we just arrange to meet up for coffee or a BBQ.

Start tracking down local owners and invite them to something. Soon you'll see who like to gather and who like to hibernate. Even the most reclusive of our group comes out once or twice a year.

Yeah, it's really not fair to us mere mortals like posting a pic like that:)

Just wondering where the Panteras are now? 90% USA? I know of quite a few in Canada. How many survivors? Would a Pantera/GT40 Club attract members outside North America?

Cheers

I think I will take the pantera club up on their invite and attend some of their meetings. They graciously invited us to bring the GT40's to the historics as part of their club parking. ended up more GT40's than Panteras in the row.

Ian I will ask Brad if he has a book or can quote how many Panteras are left. walking history book he is ...
