Nuke deal

I hope you are right, Larry.

There are two scenarios, either it is a regional problem and the other countries in that region should be the ones to deal with Iran and their nuke aspirations...or, it is a world-wide problem and the entire world needs to deal with Iran and their nuclear potential. This is NOT an issue that needs to involve the USA other than as part of a world-wide coalition.

I really like that Israel is willing to step up and take the role of enforcement...it really IS a regional issue at this point and the surrounding region has the greatest potential for attack from Iran. We here in the USA, practically half-way across the world, are out of range. Let those who are at imminent danger deal with it while they can, once it is elevated to a world-wide problem their options will be diminished.

Cheers!

Doug

Doug, beleive me, Israel WILL DO exactly what I said it will do. ISRAEL HAS NO OTHER OPTION. It's very EXISTANCE depends on it.

BTW, the U.S eventually WILL NOT be "out of range" of Iran's ICBMs. Trust me on that one. Neither will anyone else...

An aside:

NANCY PELOSI has now referred to the nuke deal as a "diplomatic MASTERPIECE"!!!!!!!

If THAT doesn't illustrate just how screwed up the whole deal must be - NOTHING WILL.

Come on, Larry...isn't Pelosi the one whose mouth said "We have to pass it so you can find out what's in it."?

Look how well that has worked...high enrollments in ACA, unemployment is down and the stock market is moving so fast that I suspect someone somehow installed an overdrive. What harm could possibly come from trusting someone whose face is frozen?

We're doin' well...Pelosi at home and Kerry putting the screws to 'em in the Middle East.

Breathe in....breathe out...do it again....and again...and...

Cheers!

Doug

Doug, I hope you were kidding about that Pelosi quote "We have to pass it so you can find out what's in it." That was probably one of the all time stupid things to come out of a politicians mouth. The sad thing is that most of the Congress and Senate doesn't know what's in the bill because they never read it prior to voting. I would bet that Obama never read the bill. And the state of this utopia we live in is up for interpretation. Long time small businesses are closing all over this state, vacancies in strip malls, homeless everywhere and welfare through the roof. I know lots of people that just stopped looking for work and are no longer counted as unemployed. Things aren't all "happy, happy, joy, joy" here and I suspect if someone is at all aware of their surroundings they will find the same.

You not might be aware that in 2009, the daughter of Secretary of State John Kerry, Dr. Vanessa Bradford Kerry, John Kerry’s younger daughter by his first wife, married an Iranian-American physician named Dr. Brian (Behrooz) Vala Nahed, an Iranian-American physician.

Of course you’re not aware of it.

Brian (Behrooz) Nahed is son of Nooshin and Reza Vala Nahid of Los Angeles. Brian’s Persian birth name is “Behrooz Vala Nahid” but it is now shortened and Americanized in the media to “Brian Nahed.” At the time his engagement to Bradford Kerry, there was rarely any mention of Nahed’s Persian/Iranian ancestry, and even the official wedding announcement in the October 2009 issue of New York Times carefully avoids any reference to Dr. Nahed (Nahid)’s birthplace (which is uncommon in wedding announcements) and starts his biography from his college years.

Gosh, I wonder why??

Gee, do you think Secretary Kerry should have recused himself from the negotiations with Iran at the very outset because of his long-standing relationship to his Iranian counter-part, Mohammad Javad Zarif? Let me explain.

Zarif is the current minister of foreign affairs in the Rouhani administration and has held various significant diplomatic and cabinet posts since the 1990s. He was Kerry’s chief counterpart in the nuclear deal negotiations.

Secretary Kerry and Zarif first met over a decade ago at a dinner party hosted by George Soros at his Manhattan penthouse. What a surprise. I have to say, connecting the dots gets more and more frightening.

But it gets even worse. Guess who was the best man at the 2009 wedding between Kerry’s daughter Vanessa and Behrouz Vala Nahed? Javad Zarif’s son.

Does this bother anyone at all?

Apparently Kerry only revealed his daughter’s marriage to an Iranian-American once he had taken over as Secretary of State. But the subject never came up in his Senate confirmation hearing, either because Kerry never disclosed it, or because his former colleagues were “too polite” to bring it up.

As Front Page Magazine pointed out several months ago, the nuclear talks with Iran were a tragic farce, choreographed and orchestrated by Iran.

And unfortunately, we’re going to have to live with the consequences. At least, I hope we live.

I think President Obama and Mr. Kerry are right.
John Kerry was right in 2013 when declared of the Iranians, “There is no right to enrich.”
(Two years later the final agreement allows Iran to keep 5,000 centrifuges, 2,000 more than Pakistan had when it secretly built a nuclear arsenal.)

President Obama was right when he said in 2013 “They don’t need to have an underground, fortified facility like Fordo in order to have a peaceful nuclear program”.
(Iran’s illicit nuclear facilities Natanz and Fordow, whose operations were supposed to be shut down under multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions, have now been legitimized, despite the fact that they were built covertly in violation of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty. Under the July 2015 JCPOA, IAEA inspectors will also be able to request visits to military sites. However, access is not guaranteed and could be delayed.)

Iran can now use its $100 billion+ signing bonus (equivalent to 15 times the annual budget of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) to buy weapons. When Europe tried a similar strategy between 2000 and 2005, Iran invested the bulk of its hard-currency windfall in its covert nuclear program and ballistic missiles. What could possibly go wrong???

Saudi Arabia already has let it be known that it will demand the same concessions on uranium enrichment that Iran received. (Taiwan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates were denied enrichment arrangements similar to what Iran won in the negations.)

But most of all the Iranians are right. When they said last week:
“The remarks by the western officials are ambiguous comments which are merely uttered for domestic use and therefore we should say that there is no ambiguity in this (nuclear) agreement,” the Fars news agency quoted Hamid Baeidinejad, an official in the Iranian foreign ministry and one of the country’s nuclear negotiators in an interview with state-controlled radio. Baeidinejad went on to say said that the Obama administration is misleading Americans about the deal in order to “calm opponents in the Congress and Zionist lobbies to soothe the internal conditions prevailing over debates on the nuclear agreement in that country”. Fars is run by the Iranian state.

Iran, the largest state sponsor of terror gets massive cash outlay. But the French and Germans get access to Iranian oil, the Russians and the Chinese get to sell Iran weapons and the U.S. has guaranteed to protect the Iranian nuclear facilities. All Iran has to do is declare a site as being "military" and while IAEA inspectors will be able to request visits to military sites, access is not guaranteed and could be delayed or denied altogether.
U.S. companies like Raytheon get to sell Air Defense Missiles to the Saudis and UAE. Pakistan gets to sell them nukes in the largest nuclear proliferation in history. What’s not to like? There are big bucks to be made here.
What could possibly go wrong???

What the hell? This is so offensively stupid I don't know where to start. Because John Kerry's daughter married an Iranian-American, that's evidence of Iran manipulating the nuke deal? What? You believe this stuff?

I work with a lot of Iranians who left the country over the years due to political issues or otherwise. What you posted below is a huge fucking slap in the face to them, their families and those who work with them and have befriended them.

Get a clue.

This is all hysterical. The genie is out of the bottle and it can't be put back. I would be more worried about Pakistan than Iran...

In any event, what the hey! Your proxy "ally" in the Middle East will dictate policy for the foreseeable future.

I'm not sure that the USA or any other Western government has any dog in this race any more...

Why does the US tear itself to bits over this? I can only see that BOB has actually managed to secure a breathing space, however small.. What would the hawks have us do?

What I would do, is dig out Reagan's "Star Wars" tech, and see if any of it actually works..

Not only hysterical but farcical, Israel will be totally pissed off, this Hawk would turn Iran to glass along with Pakistan, should have been done years ago.
Iran gets $100 billion bonus of yours and mine hard earned for signing a document they will discard at will. Mohammed said it is O.K. to lie to the Infidel and Iran has been doing that the whole way and laughing at the West for being so weak.

I agree with all you say Pete but there's one thing missing. No-one in the West is prepared to go to war and they know this. To win, you have to think the unthinkable and be prepared to back it up.

Western leaders do not have a mandate for this in our touchy feely New World Order, but I have a cunning plan.

Why not wait until they transgress and then strike swiftly? Why turn yourself into a nervous wreck assuming they will be the enemy until they prove (by actions) that they actually are? There' s no need for us to worry, the proxy security state in the Middle East (you know who) will be watching like hawks, why should we concern ourselves?

It's the same with DAESH. Let them have their Caliphate - let them all rush to populate their Nirvana, and then they'll all be in the same place which means........??? Why are we even arresting people leaving the country to go to Syria? If it were up to me, I would give them 1st class tickets and a slab of Pepsi, AND I would advertise it.. :)

Why are we even fighting the idea that millions of zealots who wish only death and destruction on the West will eventually be in defined areas? If the populations of Iraq, Syria, North Africa don't want DAESH control, let them take up arms and fight against it. If they succumb, well God has spoken. What I am trying to say in a clumsy way, is that we cannot possibly hope to change events before they have even happened.

It is in our nature to give people the benefit of the doubt, so, as far as Iran is concerned, we should hope for the best and plan for the worst. Otherwise, endless rhetoric will spew forth and solve absolutely nothing...

So, all you Nuke operators, shift your targets from Moscow to Teheran :)

PS. Note to Boris Johnson - ship your water cannon to Calais!

Nope. He wasn't.

Chill out, guys...

SARCASM . Only one of the fine services I offer.

However, I will say this---Pelosi managed to get elected and re-elected many times by a state that has become critical to the survival of the country. As such, to me she has greater political credibility than ANY of us who just want to sit around and bitch about what politicians do (me included). She has "Walked the walk" while all we do here is "Talk the talk".

...but, yeah...the tone of my post was decidedly sarcastic. I must admit I was disappointed that Larry did not react as I had hoped...I was expecting a much more acerbic response.

"Sarcasm is only one of the many fine services I offer!" Is a phrase I mutter often...SO SURPRISED y'all did not realize that.

I was referring to the Pelosi stmt itself when I made the comment above, Doug...NOT to whether you'd meant it or not. (It's a dyslexia thing.)

In any event, I'll try to be more consistantly "acerbic" in the future...at least where you're concerned! :D

Thanks for clearing it up, Larry...I really thought we had all had our chance to laugh over Pelosi's comment...and you are not wrong about what I quoted Pelosi as saying, it was one of the most inane comments I have ever heard out of ANY politician.

I was just drilling for the nerve, Larry...good on ya' for not biting like I had hoped, amigo!

Cheers!

REALLY? Iran gets $$$$ for being a party to this agreement?

Mohammed said it is O.K. to lie to the Infidel and Iran has been doing that the whole way and laughing at the West for being so weak.

Sad to say, Pete...but, I suspect truer words have never been spoken

We should all just encourage the UN to draft David Morton for the Secretary General...now, HE knows just how to deal with those pricks!

I wonder how much a "bucket of light" costs? I'd contribute to the fundraiser!

Cheers!

No, it's a conflict of interest at the least when Kerry's son-in-law's best friend is the son of one of the top negotiators of the Iran deal that Kerry met previously. And WTF do your friends have to do with this?
