    Cam lobe quality

I haven't had a new cam in my hands in a while, but that looks terrible.

    Hydraulic lifters

Dave, Don't make the mistake of interpreting "taking up all the slack" as bottoming the plunger in the lifter. The "slack" is in referrence to any gap between the pushrod and the plunger in its most upright position. Bottoming out the plunger will destroy your valve train. I witnessed a...

    Jaguar V8 in a '40?

Re: Jaguar V8 in a \'40? Isn't the Jaguar V8 a smaller displacement version of the Ford modular V8? The same issues with the dimensions of the engine would apply. And you would still have to figure out how to drive the blower since there isn't enough space at the front of the engine.

    331 stroker in the UK

That's about what I would expect according to the article. The results showed that well ported heads with large valves flowed comparable to the low end of the aftermarket heads.

    331 stroker in the UK

I guess whether it's worth it is up to the individual. If you don't have the money to spend then the answer is probably no. There is more than a horsepower gain when buying aftermarket heads. They usually come with modern valve componenets (stainless undercut valves, springs, keepers, valve...

    331 stroker in the UK

That's not the article. Your article only shows how to port heads. The test article is called Head to Head. That article states that a set of 351W heads with larger valves and a port job flowed better than the run of the mill aftermarke (Performer)heads. They did not outflow the higher end...

    Bonding Aluminium to Fibreglass

Sikaflex and 3M 5200 are both good. 5200 works just as well as Sikaflex without the nasty smell. You can get 5200 in the red container which is the fast cure stuff. That will only take 12 hrs. to cure including the stuff you leave in the container. Marine epoxy is another option.

    New Dart Ford Small Block

Maybe in drag racing, but I would imagine most on here are road race enthusiasts where weight not only makes a difference in acceleration but handling. That is true of not only the weight, but it's location in the vehicle. David

50 most beautiful cars (the EVO list)

I agree with some of the comments above. Most of the cars on the list are modern era sports cars. No mention of Duesenbergs, Bugatti (early), Rolls Royce, Jaguar XK, etc..... The magazine's list would be the list I put together when I was 16. Of course, that may be their target audience. No...

More details of the new "Ford GT"

He is selling his first spot in line to place an order not the car. You would still have to pay for the car when it becomes available.

    Only A Rumor

Hello all. First time poster, but longtime lurker. I wanted to weigh in with a few comments on this topic. As Bill stated the S7's race record is impressive. Also, this year in the Speed GT Championship the single Saleen SR entry is 5th in points with a rookie driver. That puts it ahead of...
