    Color

Steve, I'm pretty sure the yellow GT show car is something other than McLaren orange. I know that color pretty well and it is very definitely orange. The new GT looks a bit more butterscotch than the original GT40 yellow, but not as orange as McLaren's color. On the website you list one of...

A New GT40 replica is Coming - Superformance

Jeff, I have to agree with the above comments. If you love the look of the GT40, but want a modern, usable car save for a new Ford GT. Any current GT40 replica is going to be a bit raw for your wife to want to spend much time in. My guess is that the new Superformance car will be the same...

A New GT40 replica is Coming - Superformance

Re: A New GT40 replica is Coming - Maybe? I saw an original GT40 at Kirkham's last June and they told me they were thinking about making a replica in Poland. I talked to Steve Kirkham last week and he said they had dropped the idea because of the new Ford GT. This surprised me as I agree with...

    Classic Car Developments Chassis #3

I see that Jim lists a Safir MkI body. Will Dave Brown build your body? I talked to him a couple years ago about a Jaguar C type replica. I know his C type is one of the very best. Thanks. Scott

    Photo Gallery

I'm wondering if it's possible to have a gallery of photos on this site. It's a great site and there seem to be endless guys with cool GTs so it would be a lot of fun to hve a gallery where pictures of their cars could be posted. Thanks. Scott

    Detail Photos

As I was looking at this site (www.racingicons.com)I was wishing that GT40s.com had a gallery of everybody's cars. It's such a great site, but since so many of you guys have esceptionally cool GTs it would be wonderful to be able to look at all of them. Scott

Sorry everybody. The website is racingicons.com. Scott

    Detail Photos

You may all know about this site already, but there are some good detail photos and restoration info. there. It all has to do with original cars, but may be helpful or, at least, interesting. I only hope to have a nice replica soon, but this would make anyone wish his ship would come in...

    Tornado_Mr A.S.!!

Wow! I've waited longer than this to have a car painted let alone built. Good for Andy if he has a bit of a waiting list. It isn't realistic to think a small manufacturer can or should ramp up his production just because he happens to have a backlog right now. Scott

    ERA???

Mike, Thanks. Are you talking about the RF monocoque? It sounds pretty interesting. Scott

    ERA???

Ian, Thanks for your reply. It sounds like most people are in agreement that the ERA car is high quality. I am curious about the CAV as it sounds like it would be an easier car to finish and a bit less expensive. Scott

    ERA???

Thanks again for all the useful info. I have another question. I've read a few things about some kits body shapes being more true to the original than others. There is a fellow in the UK with his own website (www.gt40.org.uk) who says that a lot of the kits, but not the ERA, were taken from a...

    ERA???

Thanks everyone. Two years is quite a wait, but it would give me a little wiggle room on figuring out how to pay for it. I really appreciate the responses. Good luck with your cars. This really is a great place to get information about GT40s and to drive yourself nuts thinking about how much...

    ERA???

I've just started investigating GT40 kits. Browsing this site I've noticed that there is a lot more conversation about some kits than others. There is a lot of discussion about RF and GT40NZ, but ERA's car doesn't seem to be mentioned very often. I had the impression that it was one of the...
