  • Hi Vincent

I have followed the thread re your quest for a GT40. I am sure that GTD40s and the like are all very nice cars, and can provide you with lots and lots of pleasure and fun, but none of them can compare with the remarkable authenticity of a steel monocoque-tubbed Superformance. The price of a new Spf in the UK is £85k plus VAT, ie around £100k. However, I know somebody who owns a little-used Spf MkII, RHD, right-hand shift (not that awful centre shift which afflicts so many GT40s), uprated shocks, RBT/ZF 'box etc, Roush motor, in the UK, and with very low mileage. It's fully SVTed, road-registered, and in absolutely superb condition. Are you interested? Oh, the price... it will be ABOUT £85k, VAT paid - that's about £15k under the price of a new unregistered one. And of course, if you have the funds you could be driving it home next week. Reason for sale? He's fancying a switch to a different exotic, that's all. Let me know if you're seriously interested, and I can put you in touch.

    Cheers
