    My Headers Don't Fit

Bill: Try calling Tri-C engineering [661-295-1550]. Rick Cresi is the owner, and could probably modiy them quickly, and at a reasonable price. Rick does some very nice work. If you want to see an example, e-mail me and I will send you a photo of the headers he did for my car. Michael

    rare heads

I looked into the matter little further, and found these rocker boxes came out in the late eighties. They also required a quarter inch spacer between the gasket surface and the rocker boxes. I have a vague memory that there was a minor problem with oil leaks. I hope this helps you.

    rare heads

These rocker covers were produced by Ford Motorsport about 15 or more years ago. They were designed to act as a stud girdle, with the rocker studs protruding through the top of the rocker covers. The required special conical washers. I've only seen one set of them in use, and they seemed to...

    Fuel tanks on ERA

After many years, I have finally completed my ERA. I have run into a problem, however, and hope someone else may have an answer. Filling the fuel tanks, at least here in California, is a major investment in time. If you are pumping gas in a regular gas station, the pump continually shuts off...

Weight of pin drive wheels...how much can you save?

Ron, one thing you might think about if you plan on running the enduro race is (tire change times). Don't use a spinner but use a big nut and a good air gun. My axle's have auto lock on them, slide the socket on the axle engages the locks and the nut comes off, no socket and the nuts can't...

    Dry Sump

Tom: I put a dry sump in my ERA, and it is (1) time-consuming, and (2) extremely expensive. Because of time constraints, I simply didn't have time to work on the car myself. I ultimately took it to Tri-C Engineering, which has almost completed the car. If you want some insight into the cost...

    Here's My Engine Plan. Comments

Re: Here\'s My Engine Plan. Comments Bill: As long as you’re going to spend the money on aluminum block, you might consider the block with the 8.7 inch deck height. That would allow you to run a 6 inch rod, for a much better rod/stroke ratio. If you intend to run 8000 rpm, you might need...

    Dyno results w/ G-W heads

Built2rev: “Different strokes for different folks.” When I started assembling parts for the engine, many years ago, I made the decision I wanted to build a long rod 302. I guess I had read one too many Smoky Yunick articles. In any event, that’s what I wanted and that’s what I did, and the...
