Catalytic converters

First please excuse my Ignorance. not sure what the rules are here in Nevada. Im going to build the RCR40 (street and show). My question is do I need to have catalytic converters installed. From what I have read I need to have but have not seen on any build threads.

Steve, you will have to contact your DMV for that information. Each state seems to have different requirements.
Perhaps you could research your DMV website to find that information.

What Brian above points out is exactly correct.
much depends upon how the car is registered. If it is registered as a 1960’s car - well they didn’t have catalytic converters then, so odds are they would not be required.
That said, many of us (at least our wives) have gotten spoiled by cars that don’t smell of burned petrol. I am considering installing them on my two project cars just to “clean them up”…
