It takes common sense to do what we do , working on cars , but it seems to fail in these conversations .
Having put automan on my ignore list, I have only one side of this debate.....however, I must disagree with your characterization regarding these conversations.
IMHO, the failure to show common sense lies squarely on the shoulders of the politicians. We who engage in these "discussions" would all like to see more common sense from the government.
We obviously just disagree about which of the two major political parties has lost their "common sense" to the greatest degree, and until the politicians get the idea through their heads that they are there to represent their constituents' wishes, not necessarily their own party's leaders' wishes, we won't see any movement back towards a "common sense government".
However much these discussions seem, when viewed by the uninvolved, to be little more than mud-slinging contests, IMHO they are part of what goes into creating a necessarily educated pool of voters.
THAT is why it is important to support the opinions here with facts, and facts from as much an unbiased source as possible. We can all see through the "my favorite FoxNews?Network political pundit (who, by the way, has
never held a political office in their lives, but they sure do think they know about politics, what's up with that?) says yada.....yada....yada...." as mere propoganda.
Wait, I stand corrected.....I frequently say "...there are none so blind as those who will not see", so it's obvious to me that there are some out there who can not see through the propoganda.
I do find it comical , but also frustrating .
So many smart people with ideas so far apart .
So far in fact that I'm having trouble finding that edge of truth .
Look to the center, Frank, not the "lunatic fringe" that represents the "edge", so to speak.
Carry on, fellows.....I'm enjoying the one-sided view I'm getting so far!
Cheers from Doug!!
