Automobilia Ladenburg had an interesting photo of a GT40 from 1966 in today's auction.
The registration number appears to belong to 1048. It did several races in Italy in 1966, so it's not surprising that Enzo Ferrari and Mauro Forghieri took a look at it when they had the chance. Mauro was an engineer and designer at Ferrari. He was responsible for the 312, 330 P3 and P4.
It sold for 1,700 Euros (well beyond the bid I submitted online).1966, B/W photo (Testi/Zagari photo print '80s), Enzo Ferrari and Mauro Forghieri inspecting a Ford GT40, 30x40cm
