Ford 302/289 engine

Gentlemen,

I'm finishing sourcing my parts to begin my Tornado's TS40 build.

Basically, one item is still missing : engine :sad:

I had a look to US vendors, they offer attractive prices but when you add the cost for shipping + VAT + customs (I live in France), the price raises a lot and is not more so convenient.

So if somebody knows about agood 289/302 engine for sale nearer to me and for a reasonable price, please contact me.

I have my old engine (but still running well and arround Parch I will replace my UN1 Renault gearbox (just refurbished).

Thanks for the advice Simon,

But I think this engine is too much low in HP. According to the text of the ad, it comes from a 1986 mustang...so it should be around 210 HP while I would like a 300-350 hp.

Neverthless many thanks for the hand.

I really appreciate this friendly ring on this board.

Stephane, I know this engine, it used to be mine. I had the engine fully balanced, all it would need would be a decent pair of aluminium heads and maybe a slightly hotter camshaft. The bottom end has been built for more power than it currently would make (250-275bhp)
